MADA HERITAGE AND PRESERVING TRADITION IN THE 21st CENTURY-A PHILOSOPHICAL EVALUATION

Abstract

Mada heritage and preserving tradition in the 21^st century-a philosophical evaluation is the focal point of this research. The research tries to examine the Mada people of Central Nigeria found specifically in Nasarawa state within Akwanga Local Government Area and Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna state. The paper will also focus on the heritage of the Mada people that is what they have to possess such as land and other natural resources. The paper also deals with the Mada tradition such as belief system, customs, customs, stories or practices passed down through generation with a group or society holding symbolic meaning and often originating in the past. This research made use of historical method as well as books, journals, internet sources and so on.
