This study aims to critically re-read Deuteronomy 22:22-24 in light of contemporary issues of promiscuity within Christian marriage. The text address the consequences of adultery and the moral expectations surrounding sexual conduct in ancient Israelite society, serving as a foundation for understanding fidelity in marital relationships. This study aims to trace the socio-cultural and historical context of Deuteronomy 22:22-24 in order to explore how Israelite ancient laws can inform current discussions on promiscuity, marital integrity, and the challenges facing modern Christian marriages. The research methodology adopted in this research is historical critical method of biblical exegesis. It is observed that in the contemporary Christian marriage, extra-marital affair has put some Christian homes in disarray. African view of marriage encourages promiscuity especially among men while Christian culture is against such practice within the circle of marriage. Promiscuity has brought about escalated conflict in some homes, and has left adverse effect on members of the family especially dependants. The researcher recommends that adequate exegetical exploration of Deuteronomy 22:22-24 and proper application of its exegetical findings can impede adverse effects of promiscuity in Christian marriage.
